- **Project monitoring**: Building at home? We check on it for you. We visit on your schedule, measure progress, count materials against receipts and send you a dated report. Examples: Weekly site visits, Materials vs receipts, Contractor check-ins, Rental inspections.

## How an errand works

1. **Tell us the errand**: Tell us what needs doing, where, for whom and by when. Attach a shopping list, a photo of the plot or a voice note if it helps. (A confirmed price and time, in writing.)
2. **We match an errand agent**: We match someone who lives in or near that town and has done errands like yours before. For investigations, a licensed investigator; for site visits, someone who knows construction. (Most errands matched within the hour.)
3. **Watch it happen**: Updates arrive as the errand moves: at the shop, at the gate, on site, at the registry. Every photo carries the time and GPS position it was taken at. (Photos, receipts and notes, kept on file.)
4. **Approve, then pay**: When the errand is done you get a short report: what was done, what was spent, and the proof. Nothing is paid out until you approve it. (Nothing released without your OK.)

## Frequently asked questions

### Who exactly will be running my errand?

A HomeKwetu errand agent who lives in or near the town where the errand is. Every errand agent has had their national ID verified, holds a current police Certificate of Good Conduct, has been interviewed in person with two referees called, and completed supervised trial errands. We tell you who is on your errand before they start.

### How do I pay, and when does the errand agent get paid?

You pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal in your own currency, or by M-Pesa if you prefer. HomeKwetu holds the money, and the errand agent is paid only after you approve the finished errand, and anything bought on your behalf is paid for from our accounts so it leaves a receipt.

### What if something goes wrong?

Then the HomeKwetu Promise applies: if the errand wasn't done as agreed, we redo it at no cost or refund you in full.

### Can you handle government services without me being there?

Many, yes: searches, collections, follow-ups, lodging documents and couriering them abroad, under a signed letter of authority or a power of attorney where one is needed. Some services legally require you in person or need your biometrics. We tell you honestly which ones before we take your money.

### Do you send money to my family?

No, and that's deliberate. We are not a remittance service. We buy what your family needs and deliver it, with a receipt, which is often exactly the point. For cash, keep using your usual transfer service.

### How confidential are private investigations?

Completely. Investigations are carried out by licensed investigators under signed confidentiality, the subject is never told who asked, and the report goes to you alone. We do not take on anything unlawful, such as tracking a person without consent or accessing private records.

### Which parts of Kenya do you cover?

We reach all 47 counties. Errands in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Thika and Machakos are usually picked up the same day. In more remote areas we confirm timing before you pay.

### How quickly will my errand be picked up?

We run errands during the day, Kenyan time. Most are matched within the hour, and anything sent overnight is picked up first thing in the morning. Scheduled errands, like weekly visits to your parents or your site, run on the days you choose.
